Call for Papers: Arts Economics and Creative Industries
Journal of Arts Economics and Creative Industries focuses on the economic, organisational, policy, technological and social dimensions of artistic and creative activity.

The journal's article types are original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, case studies, policy analyses, research notes and book reviews. Read the Author Guidelines and editorial policies before preparing a manuscript, and use a manuscript language currently available in the submission form.
Manuscripts must be original and must not be under consideration by another journal. Prepare an anonymous main manuscript and a separate author-information and declaration file. Provide author contributions, funding, competing interests, applicable ethics and consent, data availability and substantive generative-AI use information. Keep author-identifying details in the separate file for editors.
Peer reviewAfter editorial screening, suitable manuscripts undergo double-anonymous assessment by at least two independent reviewers. Editors make the final decision after considering the manuscript, reviews and author responses. Submission and revision do not guarantee acceptance.
Publication schedule and feesJAECI is a quarterly journal, with four issues each year in March, June, September and December. Articles are assigned to an issue after acceptance and production.
The standard article processing charge (APC) is US$800 per accepted article. Submission is free.
During the current waiver period, all authors receive an automatic 100% APC waiver. The amount payable is US$0. No separate waiver application or payment is required.
Any change to the standard APC or waiver terms will be published on this page before it takes effect. Manuscripts submitted during the current waiver period will not be charged retrospectively. Fees and waiver status do not influence editorial screening, peer review or publication decisions.
Open access and publisherPublished articles are immediately open access. Authors retain copyright, and articles are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
